Create your sourcebook as a magazine
Themeefy ('theme-ify') could be an interesting app to try on-line. It's free and you can post your comments after you've tried making your own 'sourcebook'. This on-line magazine of yours would be useful to send in for the Woolworth's competition.

Use Photoshop to make a 'stamp' from a photo
For the Grade 11s............
Try making a 'stamp' from your own self-portrait in Photoshop; then work into the digital print. When you are satisfied, then transfer the portrait to lino or floor tile.
Cut it out, ink it up with fabric paint, and print onto a pillowcase.
See the slideshow below for a Photoshop tutorial......

Tone - an element of Art & Design
For my Grade 10s .............
When you are putting your poster together on tone - don't forget to use your 'How to create a perfect poster rubric'.
RATE YOURSELF! This is known as a self-evaluation, and you will be doing this for the rest of your art course.
What do you need for your basic poster?
Try this exercise on drawing hands as an optional extension to your tone poster. You will get credit for the additional work!
How to draw hands - a tutorial
Have a look at the slide show below on 'Tone' for revision purposes or to get information for your sourcebook.

- You will first need to DRAW your stereotypical character to show how you will later use the junk.
- You may then scan this drawing and colour it using Photoshop. You can then upload this to an app called 'Prezi'.
- Write about your character so that we can understand what is stereotypical about him/her.
- Put all this together in a 'sourcebook'. (See details in later post) This sourcebook will be assessed for your term's mark.
