  1. Yes, this is a well created video with a professional of quality. The contrast of the achromatic white background with the chromatic colours of the learner's clothing and text that appears around them causes what they're saying to really be emphasized without any distractions from the background. I thought that having no sound in the video was a really clever and creative technique as it gave the viewers a short experience as to what being deaf is like but it also caused the viewers to pay more attention to the text in the video and it's message, as people say that when you loose one sense ( in this case your sense of hearing) your others heighten (your sense of sight). I would not say that the video is particularly relevant to me because I do not know any people whom are deaf within my community, I feel like the relevance would come through from the message that people shouldn't be insensitive, that message would apply to all aspects in the youths lives. I do feel like what was said through sign language was created by the learners but I must question whether they created the video entirely by themselves as the quality of the video is great...maybe too great. Their backdrop, lighting and moving text effects (which moved on multiple planes), I assume that in those areas they did receive help from their educators. All in all it is a great video that effectively uses repitition to drive the point home that they are "deaf not dumb". I feel that this video truly embraces that less is more achieves conveying their message.

  2. Thanks for this! I think it is very perceptive. Critical analysis is very important and the more you do, the better you get.
