Fizzpops

For my Grade 10s .......

You have tried out water-colours and oil pastels so far this term.

Now try a Fizzpop in other coloured media. Here are some suggestions:

  • Pencil crayons
  • Gouache
  • Acrylics
  • Oil paints
  • Torn paper collage
  • other brands of oil pastels
  • other brands of water-colour
Hint:
You may need to re-draw the Fizzpop on  a small rectangle of specialized paper and glue it onto the sheet.
You MUST put colour in both the figure and the ground.

If you finish this then there is Photoshop extension activity on Fizzpops.

Some photos ....

For my Grade 10s......
Drawing with light = 'photography'
Can you now create painted images showing light/dark colour values and only using chromatic greys?
  • Ignore the patterns initially - they camouflage the 3-D form of the shells.
  • Contrast the figure and the ground clearly using  cool/warm differences.
